   A οὐνομανέω Hdt.4.47 (v.l. ὀν-) : aor. ὠνόμηνα Is.3.33 ; Ep. ὀνόμηνα Hom., Hes. (v. infr.); Boeot. ὠνούμηνα Corinn. 2cod. (fort. -ανα) :—Ep. and Ion. Verb, = ὀνομάζω, name or call by name, φίλον τ' ὀνόμηνεν ἑταῖρον Il.10.522, cf. 16.491, etc. ; θεοὺς ὀ. ἅπαντας 14.278 ; of things, name, recount, περικλυτὰ δῶρ' ὀνομήνω 9.121 ; πληθὺν οὐκ ἂν ἐγὼ μυθήσομαι οὐδ' ὀνομήνω 2.488 ; so πάντα μὲν οὐκ ἂν . . Od.4.240, etc.—Rare in Prose, Hdt. and Is. Il. cc.    2 simply, utter, speak, ἴσχεο μηδ' ὀνομήνῃς Od.11.251, cf. h.Ven.290 ; then (cf. ὀνομάζω 1.2) promise to do, ὄρχους δέ μοι ὧδ' ὀνόμηνας δώσειν Od.24.341.    II name, call by a name, Hes.Op.80 ; καί οἱ τοῦτ' ὀνόμην' ὄνομ' ἔμμεναι Id.Fr.116.2: in Dor.
