   A abounding in songs and legends, ἀοιδός Od.22.376.    2 = πολύφατος, θρῆνος πολύφαμος Pi.I.8(7).64.    II manyvoiced, wordy, ἀγορὴν πολύφημον ἱκέσθην Od.2.150; ἐς πολύφημον ἐξενεῖκαι to bring it forth to the many-voiced, i.e. the agora (the 'parliament'), Orac. ap. Hdt.5.79.    III much spoken of, famous, ὁδός Parm. 1.2; ὁ π. καὶ πολυώνυμος σοφός Ph.1.371.
