A.R.2.188: rarely in sg., Euph.113: as pr. n., Ἅρπυια Ποδάργη, mother of the horses of Achilles, Il.16.150; also name of one of Actaeon's hounds, A.Fr.245; cf. ἁρπυίας· ἁρπακτικοὺς κύνας, Hsch.    2 as Adj., ἁ. σκύλακες Inscr.Perg.203.
