   A join or share in an expedition, abs., Hdt.5.44, 6.9, 9.11, Th.1.99, 2.56, X.HG3.5.16 (Act.), etc.; τινι with another, Hdt.7.11, 9.106, Th.2.12, X.HG3.5.5 (Act.), etc.; μετά τινων Th.2.29,80, etc.; σὺν βασιλεῖ X.HG2.4.36 (Med.).--Hdt. always uses it in Med., as also Pl. (R. 468b,471d); Th. prefers Act., but also uses Med., cf. 1.99, 2.12, al., with 2.56,80, al.; X. has both, but more freq. Med., as also Lys. 20.29, etc.
