γλάφω: [ᾰ], ξέω, ἀνασκάπτω, κοιλαίνω, ποσσὶ γλάφει, ἐπὶ λέοντος, Ἡσ. Ἀσπ. Ἡρ. 431· ἴδε ἀπο-, δια-γλάφω. (Ἐκ √ ΓΛΑΦ παράγονται ὡσαύτως γλάφυ, γλαφυρός, πρβλ. Λατ. glaber, Glabrio· - γλάφω ἔχει πρὸς τὸ γλύφω ὡς τὸ Λατ. scalpo πρὸς τὸ sculpo).
