A Tyndareos, husband of Leda, Od.11.298, 24.199 (cf. Hdn.Gr.2.151), and E. in lyr. passages (El.117,989) acc. to codd. (prob. f.l.); Att. Τυνδάρεως, [ᾰ], εω, ὁ, A.Ag.83 (anap.), Th. 1.9, title of tragedy by S. (gen. -εω also in Hes.Fr.94.7, but -έου Fr. 96.21):—hence Patron. Τυνδᾰρίδης [ῐ], Dor. -δας, Pi.N. 10.73, etc.; pl. οἱ Τυνδαρίδαι, of Castor and Pollux, h.Hom.17.2, Hdt.4.145, etc. —Adj. Τυνδάρειος [ᾰ], α, ον, E.Hel.137, IT5; also ος, ον Id.Or.1512 (troch.), Ar.Th.919:—fem. Patron. Τυνδᾰρίς, ίδος, ἡ, παῖς E.Hel. 1546, etc.
