A suspend or support above, κατακεκλιμένος ὑπὸ δένδρων παντοίας ὑπεραιωρούντων χάριτας Lib.Or.1.53:—Pass., Hdt.4.103. 2 hold up, raise, τὴν κεφαλήν Aret.CD1.3:—Pass., of the overlapping end of a dislocated bone, ὑπεραιωρεῖσθαι τὴν κεφαλὴν τοῦ μηροῦ ὑπὲρ τῆς κοτύλης to be lifted or drawn over, Hp.Art.70; ὑ. ὑπὲρ τῆς ἀρχαίης ἕδρης ib.71, Fract.14, cf. 41: abs., Id.Art.22: Littré (following Apollon.
