Of wine: Ar. τρύξ, ἡ. Sediment: P. ὑποσταθμή, ἡ (Plat.). This man is the cause, who has emptied over me, as it were, the dregs of his own iniquily and crimes: P. αἴτιος δʼ οὗτος, ὥσπερ ἑωλοκρασίαν τινά μου τῆς πονηρίας ἑαυτοῦ καὶ τῶν ἀδικημάτων κατασκεδάσας (Dem. 242). Drain to the dregs, v.: Met. (of sorrow, etc.): V. ἀντλεῖν, διαντλεῖν, ἐξαντλεῖν. The dregs of the people: use Ar. and P. οἱ ἀγοραῖοι.
