P. and V. ἀμοιβή, ἡ (Plat.). Retaliation: P. and V. τίσις (Plat.), τιμωρία, ἡ, V. ποινή, ἡ, or pl. (rare P.), ἄποινα, τά (rare P.), ἀντίποινα, τά. In requital for: P. and V. ἀντί (gen.). Make requital: P. and V. ἀμύνεσθαι, τίνειν (Soph., O.C. 1203). You shall give dead in requital for dead: V. νέκυν νεκρῶν ἀμοιβὸν ἀντιδοὺς ἔσει (Soph., Ant. 1067).
