τό, = σκίρρος¹ 2); die harte äußere Rinde des Käses, Ar. Vesp. 925, Schol. sagt τὸ ῥυπῶδες ἐπὶ τῶν τυρῶν und führt aus Eupolis an λοιπὸς γὰρ οὐδείς, τροφαλὶς ἐκείνη ἐφ' ὕδωρ βαδίζει σκίρρον ἠμφιεσμένη. Vgl. σκιρρόω.
