A a friend to the Romans, SIG804.12 (Cos, i A. D.), IPE2.34.8 (Panticapaeum, iii A. D.), Str.14.2.5, Plu.Crass. 21, etc. The accent φιλορωμαῖος, found in EM396.45, etc., is condemned by Hdn.Gr.1.133 (φιλορρώμαιος occurs as v. l. in codd.).
