Dor. etc. ἐπιζάμιος [ᾱ], ον,
A bringing loss upon, hurtful, prejudicial, Charon 12, Th.1.32, Isoc.2.18, etc.; τινί X.Mem.2.7.9, cf. Aeschin.1.45. Adv. -ίως Poll.8.147, D.Chr.14.18. 2. penal: ἐπιζήμια, τά, punishments, penalties, Pl.Lg.784e,788b; -ζάμια Tab.
