1 rond, arrondi ; στρογγυλὰ πλοῖα bâtiments ronds, càd navires de transports, navires marchands (qui étaient de forme arrondie, p. opp. aux navires de guerre μακρὰ ναῦς);
2 de forme épaisse et courte, trapu ; fig., en parl. du style ramassé, ferme, précis.
Étymologie: στραγγός.
