F. 4, 570; Luc. 10, 303; Juv. 6, 528.—Transf., in a lusus verbb. with merum, of a tippling woman (cf. merobibus), Aus. Epigr. 20.—Hence, Mĕ-rŏētĭcus, a, um, adj., of or belonging to Meroë, Meroëtic: ebenus Meroëtica, Luc. 10, 117 Cort. (al. Mareotica).
