gestern, heri. – hesterno die (am gestrigen Tage), – pridie (tags vorher, an dem vorigen, d. i. am in der Vergangenheit gestrigen Tage). – In Briefen bezeichnete es der schreibende Römer durch: pridie eius diei, quo haec scribebam. – g. abend, heri vesperi: g. früh, heri mane: erst von g. her, erst g., nuper (z.B. novus fictusque nuper).
