   A ambassador, acc. sg. πρέσβεια (i. e. -ηα or -εα) Hoffmann Griech. Dialekte ii No. 160.31 (Lampasacus); dat. pl. πρεσβεῦσι Lyc.1056, v. l. in Anon. in EN 200.14; nom. dual πρεσβῆ Ar.Fr.639: Sch. Ar. denies that πρέσβεως Ar.Ach. 93 is gen. of this word: Boeot. pl. πρισγεῖες IG7.2418.6, 18 (Thebes, iv B. C.), 1720.6 (Thespiae, ii B. C.) (πρεσβῆες in Hes.Sc.245 belongs in form to this word, in meaning to πρέσβυς 1.1).
