A dance the fling, ὄνον ἐπάραντα τὰ σκέλη πυδαρίζειν App.Prov.4.25: hence ἀποπῡδᾰρίζειν μόθωνα kick up (i.e. dance) a μόθων, Ar.Eq.697: διαπῡδᾰρίζει (-πονδ- cod.),= διαναβάλλεται, διαναρρίπτεται, Com.Adesp.977. (Falsely expld. as Aeol. for Ποδαρίζω (from πούς) or from *πυγαρίζω (from πυγή) by Irenaeus ap. EM696.2 = Sch.Ar.l.c.): hence πῡδᾰρισμός, ὁ,= δυσχέρεια, Zonar.
