(ϝάγνῦμι), fut. ἄξω, aor. ἔαξα, ἦξα, inf. ἆξαι, pass. pr. part. ἀγνυμενάων, aor. ἐάγην (ἐάγην, Il. 11.559), ϝάγη, ϝάγεν (=ἐάγησαν): break, shiver, shatter; rather of crushing and destroying than of rending asunder (ῥήγνῦμι); of the ships pelted and smashed by the Laestrȳgons, Od. 10.123.
