put in stead: P. ἀντικαθιστάναι.
he said that if they used (the money) to secure their safety they must replace an equal sum: P. χρησαμένους ἐπὶ σωτηρίᾳ ἔφη χρῆναι μὴ ἐλάσσω ἀντικαταστῆσαι πάλιν (Thuc. 2, 13).
bring back, restore (exiles, etc.): P. and V. κατάγειν.
be an equivalent for: P. ἀντάξιος εἶναι; see equal.
make good: P. and V. ἀκεῖσθαι, ἀναλαμβάνειν.
