ὁ, rare form of Ἄδωνις, Plu.2.756c. II as Adj., ος, ον, of Adonis:—hence Ἀδώνιον, τό, a statue of him borne in the Adonia, Suid. 2 (sub. μέτρον) a kind of verse, consisting of a dactyl and spondee, Sacerd.p.516 K. 3 = Ἄδωνις 111, Plin.HN21.60.
