v. trans.

Ar. and P. ἐπιτρέπειν, P. πιστεύειν, διαπιστεύειν, ἐγχειρίζειν, V. εἰσχειρίζειν. Hand over: P. and V. παραδιδόναι. Father Zeus intrusts these oracles to Loxias: V. ταῦτα γὰρ πατὴρ Ζεύς ἐγκαθίει Λοξίᾳ θεσπίσματα (Aesch., Frag.). Refer (for someone's decision): Ar. and P. ἐπιτρέπειν (τινί τι), ἀνατιθέναι (τινί τι), P. ἐφιέναι (τι εἴς τινα).
