A reduce to utter slavery, Ἀθήνας Hdt.6.94, cf. X. HG2.1.15:—mostly in Med. ἐξανδρᾰποδ-ίζομαι, τοὺς Τεγεήτας Hdt.1.66, cf. And.4.22, X.HG2.2.16, etc.; τῶν τεθνεώτων ἐ. τοὺς βίους confiscate the substance of the deceased, Plb.32.5.11.—The Att. fut. ἐξανδραποδιοῦμαι, Ion. -ιεῦμαι, which is mostly trans. (as in Hdt.1.66), takes a pass. sense in Id.6.9: so aor. 1 ἐξηνδραποδίσθην ib.108, D.50.4: pf. part. ἐξηνδραποδισμένος Plu.Ant.3, Luc.Cal.19.
