English (LSJ)

(cf.

A δῆλος 11.4), Adv. clearly, manifestly, Epich.149, S.OT 1501, E.IA1366, Timocl.3 D., etc.: ironically, προφάσιος τῆσδε δηλαδή on this pretext forsooth, Hdt.4.135: freq. in answers, οὐ πόλλ' ἔνεστι δεινὰ τῷ γήρᾳ κακά;—δηλαδή yes plainly, of course, Ar. V.441: but better written divisim in such phrases as ἢ δῆλα δὴ ὅτι . .; Pl.Prt.309a, etc.; cf. δῆλα δὴ καὶ ταῦτα Id.Cri.48b.

German (Pape)

[Seite 560] natürlich, versteht sich, allerdings, oft ironisch; Soph. O. R. 1501; Her. 4, 135 u. Folgde; wo, wie Plat. Prot. init., ὅτι folgt, schreibt man richtiger getrennt δῆλα δή.
