   A rustic drinking-cup of wood, used by the Cyclops, Od.9.346; by Eumaeus, 14.78; κ. ἀμφῶες Theoc.1.27 (but expld. as μόνωτον ποτήριον, Philem.Gloss. ap. Ath.11.476f); ὀλίγῳ ἥδετο κ. Call.Aet.1.1.12.—So called, either as made of ivy-wood, Eumolp. ap. Ath.11.477a; or because adorned with ivy-wreaths, Poll.6.97: in late Prose, οἴνου κ. Prisc.p.316 D.
