Πᾰλαίμων: -ονος, ἀρσ. κύρ. ὄνομα, ἐπώνυμον τοῦ Μελικέρτου υἱοῦ τῆς Ἰνοῦς, ὅστις ἐλατρεύετο ὑπὸ τὸ ὄνομα τοῦτο ὡς θαλάσσιος θεὸς προστάτης τῶν ναυαγῶν (πρβλ. Οὐεργιλ.
