II Cȳănĕae, ārum, f., = Κυάνεαι, the two small rocky islands at the entrance of the Pontus Euxinus, called also Symplegades, q. v., Ov. Tr. 1, 10, 34; Mel. 2, 7, 3: errantes, Val. Fl. 4, 561.—Hence,
