   1 by way of prelude, met., ὕπατον δ' ἔσχεν Πίσα Ἡρακλέος τεθμόν. ἁδεῖαί γε μὲν ἀμβολάδαν ἐν τελεταῖς δὶς Ἀθαναίων μιν ὀμφαὶ κώμασαν the Panathenaic victory is to be a prelude to an Olympic one (N. 10.33)
