   A one who supplies or provides, π. τῶν κακῶν τῷ δήμῳ Th.8.48; φύλαξ καὶ π. ἀλλοτρίων χρημάτων Eus.Mynd.24; δόξης Phld.Rh.2.53 S. (Comp.).    babs., money-maker, J.AJ19.2.5.    2 pl., at Athens, a financial board appointed to raise extraordinary supplies, Ar.Ra.1505, Antipho 6.49, etc.: hence metaph., τῶν χρημάτων αὐτοὶ ταμίαι καὶ π. D.4.33.    3 the name used by robbers of themselves, οἱ λῃσταὶ αὑτοὺς ποριστὰς καλοῦσι νῦν Arist.Rh.1405a26.

A. 294), Ar. Ran. 1501, Schol. erklärt πορολόγοι; so auch wohl Antiph. 5, 49 zu nehmen; vgl.
