English (LSJ)

οἱ, αἱ, τριακαίδεκα, τά, first as three words, later as one,

A thirteen: gen. τριῶν καὶ δέκα Th.2.97, IG12.372.87, etc.: dat. τρισὶ καὶ δέκα Th.8.108, D.9.25, IG22.1673.7, etc.: acc. neut. τριακαίδεκα (or τρία καὶ δέκα) Hdt.1.119, Ar.Pl.194,846, Pax990:—sts other words are interposed, τρεῖς τε καὶ δ. Pi.O.1.79, but μέν follows τρισκαίδεκα in B.10.92 and δέ in Th.3.79 (s. v. l., δέ om. codd. BM):— the form τρισκαίδεκα (acc. masc. and fem.) is found in codd. of Hom. Il.5.387, Od.24.340 (in Od. τρεισκαίδεκα, διὰ διφθόγγου γράφουσι τὰ τῶν ἀντιγράφων ἀκριβέστερα Eust. ad loc.); also of Pi.Fr.135 (v. l.), B. l. c. (Pap.), Ar.Ra.50, X.HG5.1.5, Th.3.69,79, 8.88 (τρεῖς καὶ δέκα cod. B); τρισκαίδεκα as gen., Hp.Mul.2.133 (τρεισ- cod. D), Is.8.35; as dat., Th.8.22 codd.:—early Inscrr., however, never have τρισκαίδεκα, but τρεῖς [τρε̄ς] καὶ δέκα ἡμέραι IG12.295.11 (v B. C.); στατῆρας τρεισκαίδεκα SIG241 B101 (Delph., iv B. C.); τρε[ισκαί]δεκα πόλεων ib.368B1 (iii B. C.); λίθων τρεισκαίδεκα IG7.3073.134 (Lebad., ii B. C.); so that τρισκαίδεκα should be corrected in all early texts (in spite of Choerob. in An.Ox.2.267) either to τριῶν καὶ δ., etc., or to τρεισκαίδεκα: the same applies to the following compds.: v. τρεισκαιδέκατος.
