A drop of rain, ὅταν μὲν κατὰ μικρὰ φέρηται, ψακάδες, ὅταν δὲ κατὰ μείζω μόρια, ὑετὸς καλεῖται Arist.Mete.347a11, cf. 348a7, al.; particle, ib.373b16: mostly collect., drizzle, ψακὰς δὲ λήγει, i. e. heavy rain (ὄμβρος) is coming, A.Ag.1534 (lyr.); opp. ὑετοί, X.Cyn.5.4 (pl.); ὕσθησαν αἱ Θῆβαι ψακάδι Hdt.3.10: generally, rain, ὑπὸ στέγῃ πυκνῆς ἀκοῦσαι ψακάδος S.Fr.636, cf.
