A to be unlike, differ from, c. gen., Plu.Per.8, Arr.Ind.6.8, Lib.Or.59.157:—in early writers found only in part. ἀπεοικώς, Att. ἀπεικώς, υῖα, ός, unreasonable, unnatural, οὐκ ἀπεικός (v.l. ἀπεοικός) Hp.VM4, Antipho 2.2.5; οὐκ ἀπεικός not unlikely, Plb.2.62.8, cf. Philostr.VA3.34; ἀπεοικὼς πρὸς τὰ καλά unfitted, indisposed for noble deeds, Plb.6.26.12: c. dat., unlike, Heph.15.4. Adv. ἀπεοικότως unreasonably, Th.6.55; but οὐκ ἀπεικότως Th.1.73, 2.8, 8.68, cf. Porph.Abst.1.46; D.Chr. has ἀπεοικότως 12.35, ἀπεικότως 31.116.
