Etymology : Seit Kuster und Ahrens allg. in γατειλαί geändert (Bechtel Lex. 339 dafür γατηλαί) und als ϝατειλαί zu ὠτειλή gezogen, s. d. Die ev. Wurzelidentität ist selbstverständlich auch mit suffixaler Verschiedenheit vereinbar.
