(sc. ἱερά), τά, festival at which Athenians cut off the μαλλός, κόννος or σκόλλυς of their sons previous to their being enrolled among the ἔφηβοι, at the same time offering A a measure of wine (οἴνου μέτρον) to Heracles, and drinking part of it to the health of their φράτερες, Eup.135, Hsch., Phot. (οἰνιαστήρια in Eust.907.18).

οἰνιστήρια: (ἐξυπ. ἱερά), τά, ἡ ἑορτὴ, καθ’ ἣν οἱ Ἀθηναῖοι πολῖται ἀπέκειρον τὸν μαλλόν, κόννον ἢ σκόλλυν τῶν υἱῶν αὐτῶν πρὶ ἐγγράψωσιν αὐτοὺς εἰς τοὺς ἐφήβους, τότε δὲ προσέφερον καὶ μέτρον οἴνου εἰς τὸν Ἡρακλέα, καὶ σπείσαντες ἔδιδον ἀκολούθως εἰς τοὺς συνελθόντας νὰ πίωσιν, Εὔπολις ἐν «Δήμοις» 28Α, πρβλ.
