Od.20.333, etc. 2 δ. εἰμι is freq. used c. part., δ. ἐστιν ἀλγεινῶς φέρων i.e. it is clear that he takes it ill, S.Ph.1011, cf. OT673,1008, etc.; οἳ ἂν δ. ὦσι μὴ ἐπιτρέψοντες who are clearly not going to permit, Th. 1.71; with ὡς, δ. ἐστιν ὥς τι δρασείων κακόν S.Aj.326; δ. ἔσεσθε ὡς ὀργιζόμενοι Lys.12.90, cf. Id.6.34, etc.: c. part., δῆλον ἐποιήσατε . . μηδίσαντες Id.3.64. 4 δῆλον (sc. ἐστί) it is manifest, αὐτὸς πρὸς αὑτοῦ· δῆλον S.Aj.906; ἀλγεινά, Πρόκνη, δῆλον Id.Fr.585; ἐκ πίθω ἀντλεῖς, δῆλον Theoc.10.13; δῆλον δέ, to introduce a proof, folld. by γάρ, Th.1.11, Arist.Col.799a5, etc.; δῆλον γάρ S.Fr.63; δῆλον ὅτι Th.3.38, etc.; τὰ Κύρου δῆλον ὅτι οὕτως ἔχει X.An.1.3.9, cf.
