adj.

Ar. and P. ἀγαπητός.

Pleasing: P. and V. ἀρεστός, ἡδύς.

According to one's liking: use P. and V. κατὰ γνώμην, Ar. and P. κατὰ νοῦν.

Since in spite of long negotiations they could get no satisfactory settlement from the Athenians: P. ἐπειδὴ ἐξ Ἀθηναίων ἐκ πολλοῦ πράσσοντες οὐδὲν ηὕροντο ἐπιτήδειον (Thuc. 1, 58).
