   A dried grapes, raisins, IG5(1).1.13 (Tegea, v B.C.), Hdt.2.40, Alex.127.4, etc.: pl., ἡ Ῥόδος ἀσταφίδας [παρέχει] Hermipp.63.16, cf. X.An.4.4.9, Arist.HA595b10; ἀσταφίδος οἶνος raisin-wine, Pl.Lg.845b: ὀστᾰφίς, v.l. ap.Phot. as in Cratin.121 (pl.), Nicopho 21; στᾰφίς, Hp.Acut.64, Theoc.27.9, etc.    II = σταφὶς ἀγρία, Ps.-Dsc.4.152, Gal.11.842, Plin.HN23.17. (ἀσταφίς is prob. by assimilation from ὀσταφίς; cf. ἀστακός.)
