C.); in later times used specially by Jews, Juv. 3.14, 6.542, cf. Ev.Matt.16.9.    II Boeotian measure, containing nine Attic choenices, i.e. about two gallons, κ. σίτου IG7.2712.65, cf. Stratt.13, Arist.HA629a13, Hsch.
