A well-rope, Alex.174.9, Apollod.Gel.1 (pl.), Ph.2.89 (pl.), Luc.Icar.7, JConf.8, Hsch.; ἱμονιάν (abs.) a rope's length, i.e. as long as a bucket takes to go down and come up a well, Ar.Ec.351.
