   A to be like, suit, c. dat. pers., ὅς τις οἷ τ' ἐπέοικε Il.9.392: elsewh. impers., it is fit, proper, c. dat. pers. et inf., σφῶϊν μέν τ' ἐπέοικε . . ἑστάμεν 4.341; νέῳ δέ τε πάντ' ἐπέοικε . . κεῖσθαι 'tis a seemly thing for a young man to lie dead, 22.71, cf.
