   A public place or hall, in which the chief law-court was held, ἐν ἡλιαίᾳ Ar.Eq.897; ἀναβὰς εἰς τὴν ἡ. τὴν τῶν θεσμοθετῶν prob. in Antipho 6.21, cf. IG12.39.75,63.14.    2 supreme court at Athens, Lex Solonis ap. Lys.10.16, Lex ap.D.21.47, Paus.1.28.8, etc.    II = ἁλία (A) (q.v.).    III ἡλιαίη, = ἀλέα (B), Hsch.
