   A good cheer, happy thoughts, of the sleeping Astyanax, θαλέων ἐμπλησάμενος κῆρ Il.22.504; ἐν σάλεσσι πολλοῖς ἥμενος Alcm.10; θαλέεσσιν ἀνατρέφειν τινά Call.Fr. anon.31.—In form and accent pl. of θάλος, in meaning closer to θάλεια, θαλία.
