A animal fat, lard, tallow, Arist.Long.467a3, cf. Pr.935b20: pl., χηνὸς λίπη AP9.377.8 (Pall.); βεβρῶτες αἵματος λ. gorged with fat and blood, S.Ant.1022; but λ. αἵματος a fleck of blood, A.Ag.1428 (lyr., λίβος Casaub.); of vegetable oil, λ. ἐλαίας S.Fr.398, cf.
