II In gen., any servant, attendant; cf. Paul. ex Fest. p. 38 and 225 Müll.: egomet mihi comes, calator, equus, agaso, armiger, Plaut. Merc. 5, 2, 11; id. Ps. 4, 2, 52; id. Rud. 2, 3, 5.
