A prick or dot all round, περιέστιζε [τοῖσι μαζοῖσι] τὸ τεῖχος she stuck the wall all round with the breasts, Hdt.4.202 ; περιστίξαντες (v.l. περιστήσαντες, πέριξ στήσαντες Dobree) κατὰ τὰ ἀγγήϊα τοὺς τυφλούς having set them at equal distances round... ib.2 (expld. by Hsch. ἀπὸ τοῦ στίχειν).
