Arist.HA534a27, Nic.Al.258; κρεῶν Gal.18(1).730; π. ἀλεύρου infusion of meal, Hp.Epid.7.80, Acut.(Sp.) 63; πλύματα τοῖς παιδαρίοις PCair.Zen.398.10 (iii B.C.); washings, scum, a by-product of cinnabar, Thphr.Lap.58 (in form πλύσματι); from oilworks, Sammelb.4425 vii 10(ii A. D.).    II metaph., low prostitute, Poll.7.39.—The form πλύσμα is found in some codd. and preferred by Phot.; but πλύμα is guaranteed by metre in Nic.l.c., also by PCair.Zen.l. c.
