A rushing stream, mountain torrent, Th.4.96, Dsc.3.51, prob. in OGI335.111 (Pergam., ii B.C.). 2 esp. stream of lava from a volcano, ὁ ῥ. τοῦ πυρὸς ἐκ τῆς Αἴτνης Th.3.116, cf. Pl.
