P. and V. νέμειν, διαδιδόναι, P. ἐπινέμειν, ἀπονέμειν, κατανέμειν, Ar. and P. διανέμειν, V. ἐνδατεῖσθαι. Measure out: P. and V. μετρεῖν, P. διαμετρεῖν. Distribute between oneself and others: P. νέμεσθαι, κατανέμεσθαι. They distributed the land among themselves: P. συγκατενείμαντο τὴν γῆν (Thuc. 6, 4). They distributed this also among themselves: P. προσδιενείμαντο τοῦθʼ οὗτοι (Dem. 393).
