v. trans.

Even a slight failure upsets and ruins everything: P. καὶ μικρὸν πταῖσμα ἅπαντα ἀνεχαίτισε καὶ διέλυσε (Dem. 20).

Throw into confusion: P. and V. ταράσσειν, συνταράσσειν, θράσσειν (Plat. but rare P.); see confound.

Bring to naught: P. and V. συγχεῖν, σφάλλειν, P. ἐκκρούειν.

V. intrans.

Upset out of: V. κυλισθεὶς ἐκ (gen.).

Be upset out of: V. ἐκκυλίνδεσθαι (gen.) (Soph., O. R. 812).
