ἀπαύλια: -ων, τά, (αὐλὴ) τὸ κοιμᾶσθαι μόνον, κυρίως κατὰ τὴν πρὸ τοῦ γάμου νύκτα, ὅτε ὁ νυμφίος ἐκοιμᾶτο μόνος ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ τοῦ πενθεροῦ, ὡσαύτως καὶ τὰ δῶρα τὰ κατὰ ταύτην τὴν ἡμέραν διδόμενα τῇ νύμφῃ· ἀμφότεραι αἱ σημασίαι ἐν Πολυδ.
