1) промежуток, расстояние, интервал: μ. οὐ μέγα ἀπολιπόντες Her. оставив небольшой промежуток, т. е. на небольшом расстоянии (от противника); μέσοισιν ἐν μεταιχμίοις δορός Eur. в середине между (обеими) армиями;
2) середина: ἐν μεταιχμίῳ σκότου Aesch. в полутьме; ἀνδρῶν μ. ἔχειν Luc. достигнуть середины зрелого возраста.
